I know that Justus and I are happy with farm-raised beef, pork and lamb... and the straight-from-the-woods venison. But my boys are another story: they love their chicken. We haven't raised our own meat chickens yet, in fact I think we run a continuing care retirement facility for laying hens here. But we do eat chicken and I have found some great pasture raised chicken available from some of our local farmers. Besides being antibiotic and hormone free, it's important to us that the chickens had as good a life as our pastured beef.

Sheri, that is completely hysterical!!!!  Too bad we didn't sell commercially, I was ready for them. I even know what these chickens were saying. The one on the left was saying, "I don't repeat gossip, so listen carefully the first time." |
