Watching my cow try to kick her 8-month old heifer off the other morning took me down memory lane to Africa and France. Somehow Siobhan seems to have a lot of French mama in her.

The weaning ring is now in because Grandma meant business! And by the way, I don't remember where I read the tip, but putting the weaning ring in boiling water (and taking a tongs along to fish it out) made all the difference in the world getting it to go in easily!
