I have a bull calf that is only 5 months old(dexter/mini longhorn), but I am looking at a package deal locally that comes with a long legged bull and fella is pretty adament about keepign it as a package deal. Not a bad looking bull, but dont need him, and mainly because all my cows are bred. The ones I am getting are bred, but one is due in about a month and a half. My calf will not be ready to breed her back yet so I wouldnt mind having the bull to take care of that. Here comes the other monkey wrench. I have 2 7-10 month old heifers I dont want bred yet obviously. My thoughts are this, get him and let him do his business and then cut him and butcher him this fall (freezer is full currently and dont need beef yet). Now I was thinking if I took this idea I would just Lutalyse the youngins in may or june and then again in Aug to ensure they were good to go. Thoughts?

He is a good bull. PHA/chondro free and looks good. He is right st 2 yrs old. I'm more worried about the young heifers because I don't have a bull pen. And don't want him to tear up fences to seperate them. He is a gentle bull as well and has a great temperament.
