Hi All
A very good day today, the Holstein Classifiers came and classified our herd and we got some very good results. Rawlings Absolute Gem scored VG 88 up 2 points, 7th lactation Rawlings Eclair scored VG 89 up a massive 10 points, 3rd lactation Rawlings Echo The Beat scored VG 89 up 6 points, 3rd lactation Rawlings Gemma scored GP 83, 1st lactation Rawlings Golly Miss Molly scored GP 82, 1st lactation Rawlings Gezzabelle scored VG 86, 1st lactation, this is the top score for an heifer and our bull Rawlings ET scored VG 88 up 3 points The herd average being 86.2 for the 6 females, with the breed average being 80.2 For Dual Purpose we averaged 91.2, with the breed average being 83.2 For Mammary System we averaged 85.3, with the breed average being 79.8
So over all a very pleasing result.

Fantastic results, you would have to be pretty happy about them. A big jump for R. Éclair, 10 points is quite a difference. Which area did she improve so greatly in? Same classifier or someone different. You didn't get Andrea first time round did you ? regards Louise

Sorry for the delay in getting back to you.
Eclair was last classified when she was still owned by Mark and Marg Rawlings. I do not know the name of the classifier but I do know that Marg said she was not consistent in her work. Maybe Marg can shed a little light on the subject.
