I'm not the greatest photographer but since this one turned out okay I thought I would share. She will turn 8 months in a few weeks so I'll be weaning her soon and halter training her. I have a yearling heifer that I am going to put with her as her weaning buddy.

Nice heifer. I can't believe you live in Texas with all that green grass Just realized you live in Lufkin, farther north and east of us. Home of the famous "Chick-O-Stick" yum.
Have to ask you about her name? Fire Ant?

Barb, we've been blessed with some good rain lately and we keep hay out and rotate the pastures.
I've only lived in Lufkin for about 3 years and I've never made it to the Chick-O-Stick factory. My husband says they have a store and you can go in and buy it.
Once right after she was born she was laying in the grass and my husband said that he couldn't tell the difference between her and an ant mound because she is the same color as the red dirt so we named her Fire Ant. Her older sister is June Bug because she is pesky like a june bug,lol.

This is her dam, Lone Star Madonna, a Circle H's Frederick daughter.


This is her sire, Bar None's Toby.
