My sister painted this door ringer for us and we installed it on the back porch: It wasn't long until there was a wasp nest inside the head, so you'll notice that it now has copper wool stuffed into the inside of it, to deter the wasps. But that did not deter the spiders! Patti

That's great! That must be the copper wool showing through the nose.

It is, and it's necessary! We discovered, in a most unfortunate manner, that there was a wasp nest inside the cow's head. We had an HVAC technician here to take a look at our outside air handler unit and as soon as he walked out the back door, the wasps attacked him. He got stung on his nose! Then he had an allergic reaction, his nose doubled in size, and he ended up at the emergency room. They had to send someone else to fix the air conditioner. What a disaster of a day that was!

Nice! The bell, I mean. Not so nice for the poor HVAC tech. . She did a good job painting the horns, and the copper wool just makes it look like it's snorting fire!

Good stuff, Patti. Maybe it's a good thing he didn't ring the bell...mad wasps with a headache would have been even worse. c.

That's nice Patti. OK who has other Dexter decor? I have a ceramic black bull from England. Plates, bowls and a cutting board with a Dexter on from England. T towels from New Zealand and also England. The plates have an ugly Dexter on with a bad udder, guess the "creator" of them was looking at a bad example!

I have two cast iron cows, they are rust coloured but I like to think they are dun! They are kept either side of my woodburner.... watching the world go by. Found at a reclamation yard. Stephanie

Here is what we have on our dinning room. Just found this old window and added family and dexter pictures. I couldn't be happier!

You all have some nice Dexter décor. If you ever get tired of looking at them, send it on down to Texas, I need more.
