From left to right: Jupiter (steer), Belmont, Maxwell (calf), Macy. Jupiter and Belmont side by side. Jupiter is 1 year and 1 day younger than Belmont. Pistol Polly, a.k.a. Ding-A-Ling, is in the background; she is heavy with calf. Jupiter and Belmont. Belmont and Claire. Claire had a bull calf today, dun and horned, very small and compact, and very fuzzy. I found them at dusk this evening, so no pictures till tomorrow.

Hi Olga: my goodness, 40 views and not a single comment. Look at the hip to pin length and body depth, heavy muscling and overall balance, small but non-dwarf. They must all be shocked speechless . Nice bull. Looks a lot like Benny. Congrats to Paula and you. Good luck with him. c

Well, I just found this, and now that I'm done laughing over what Carol and Dave wrote, yes, he's a great-looking bull! Just looking at the photos and seeing him next to Jupiter, I assumed that he was chondro-positive. How tall is he? Really nice guy!

Thank you, all. We are really happy to have Belmont; can't wait for his calves! Susan, I too am curious about Belmont's height but do not want to speculate. I need to find a proper measuring stick!

Olga, I found this handy mini horse measuring stick on Amazon. It works fine for Dexters, as long as you have a flat surface to stand them on.

Just saw this, Belmont sure is a good looking fella. We sold our last bull, were going to go a different route. But didn't.....he came a visited this year. Folks needed time to get hay for him and their girls, so we kept him for a month or so, and he thoroughly enjoyed his.job and even got a Holstein/Jersey cross gal. Pretty awesome fella, where did you get Belmont and is he a carrier or not? He is very stocky but pictures sometikes make it tough. Maybe I will see you in town sometime.

Belmont is a non-chondro and very short. I will get him measured one of these days.
