We had 3 heifers and one bull calf. I started to think that Waldo only produced black heifers. But our last calf of the season was a red bull calf. He will be kept for beef and 2 of the heifers will be for sale, as well as 1 of the momma's. I want to keep my herd at 5 girls and 1 bull. So I have had to make some difficult decisions. To me they are all precious. I know just what you mean Holly. I want to keep just five cows and a bull also. I had to pick one of our heifer calves to sell and it was a little tough. But....she was bought by a wonderful young woman who will be showing her in some 4-H and FFA shows this year. The young woman was describing the process of prepping a heifer for a show and told me "I spend more time on the calves than I spend getting ready for Prom". Had to laugh at that. I told Posey as she loaded into the trailer she was going to have quite an adventure!

Wow, Dave, you can be glad about the home that one's going to!
