The Dexter is under played in my opinion this versatile breed dose have wonderful milk and beef, we all know that, but it is the oxen part that gets looked over most of the time. That is because not many people use them for draft any more. But the oxen part can still be used in promoting this great breed by showing them. On may 9th our 3 year old Dexter Bull Helios was entered in the Oroville May day parade. We did not have him in a trailer he walked in the parade on a lead. I have never seen this done and I don't think many people have. I decide to show our community what these impressive cattle can do if you put the time and work in to them fairs are not the only place to show this awesome breed. I still have not figured out how to put pic's on here so you can see Helios's parade pic's on my facebook page @ Holly Rock Ranch I will put up better pic's in a day or tow once I down load them, thanks for letting me gush over Dexter's.

That's really super! Great job--and great publicity! If you open an account at tinypic.com you can upload photos and use the links in the little photo icon. You have to hit "Reply" not "Quick Reply." I'm only able to get the fourth line of code to work for me, but most people use another one; sorry I can't remember the right one since it doesn't work for me. Must mean I'm weird!
