In the interest of informing the general population of Dexter breeders--at least those who read my blog -- here's a blog post I just did on the Platinum report. Like I said, this news is not just gold--it's platinum! Thank you again, kansasdexters, for the permission to use your report.

in all honesty I don't look at it as jumping through hoops to prove a point to the haters. Polled breeders have been told they are "bad breeders" "have mutts" and goodness knows a multitude of other dramatic phrases. I guess I am happy for them that they have the proof to say, we now know different. Would it have made a difference if the result was different? Polled breeders would have still loved their animals, and the haters would have kept on hating. Have you noticed how quiet those haters all are now?? Carol K Well said Carol, I totally agree. Great blog Susan, glad you highlighted the researchers last sentence. It states the results simply and to the point. Barb

I just want to say that this is very good news. It reminds me of a song, the haters gonna hate, hate, hate. I am definitely smiling.

UC Davis Veterinary Genetics Lab has concluded the DNA breed analysis of Saltaire Platinum " Breed analyses provide no evidence of a genetic background other than Dexter." This is great news thank you, no more fighting we can just enjoy our Dexter's horned, polled, long legged or short.
