Purebred Dexter bull calf, born 4-12-15, dam-raised to 9 months of age, black carries wild type red, dehorned (has one small nub), A2/A2, negative for PHA and chondrodysplasia, grass-fed.
Sebs's DNA Test Results
Color: Black, carries wild red. (ED/E+)
Polled: Horned (HH) Seb has been dehorned, has one small nub.
Chondrodysplasia: Obligate non-carrier (HN).
PHA: Obligate non-carrier (HN).
Milk beta-casein: Obligate homozygous, A2/A2.
Genotype: On file with UCDavis. He is Sire and Dam Qualified at UCDavis.
Pedigree: Seb is pending registration with the ADCA. Meanwhile, here is his hypothetical pedigree.
This is the sweetest calf we’ve ever raised. His dam is my best milker and his sire, who has a very good temperament, comes from lines that are bred for milk production. His name is Seb, short for Royal Celebration. He had a tetanus toxoid and tetanus antitoxin in April 2015 when his horn buds were burned. Seb was the easiest calf I’ve ever halter trained. Although his training ended at 2 months of age when he was turned out with his dam, I can easily slip a halter on his head even at 9 months. He is weaned and ready to go. We are asking $1450. PM me for more info, or my email is in my profile.
(Sorry for the tasteless photo bomb by his half brother!)
His dam, New Hope Ebony Belle, at age four, three days before Seb was born:
His sire, Mrald Crown Royal, at a little over 2 years of age:
