We still have one too many cows for our new farm, so, with great regret and trepidation, we are offering Moonlit Oaks April for sale. She has been a proven producer of very nice heifers that grew up to have excellent dairy characteristics. Her udder is outstanding and she is a great mama cow. She has a little age on her, at ten years old, but she is strong, vigorous, and in good weight. She is in with an excellent young bull right now. April is PHA and chondro negative. She is A2/A2, dehorned, black but carries red. Price is $1,000 OBO. She is bred. If we didn't have to reduce our herd and focus on traditional breeding, we would gladly keep her. She has modern lines on her sire's side and traditional on her dam's. It was her sire who gave her the red gene and the wonderful udder and her dam that gave her the easy going nature and lovely head. She also has a white tail tip and some white on her udder. You can spot her in a herd from a distance when her tail flicks. She has a strong personality and has been our herd boss for years. However, she is halter trained and gentle with people. She knows her name and likes to be scratched. She is also easy to handle in the chute and takes her vaccines like a lady. April is a very good cow and we will be very selective as to who buys her. www.dextercattle.org/pedigreedb/ponyweb.cgi?horse=019959&HorseName=moonlit%20Oaks%20april&Page=1&Sort=0Please send a message for more pictures.

This is an old ad. I'll take it down soon. We decided to sell a different cow and keep April. The herd seems to revolve around her and they act lost without their boss cow.
