I have 4 girls to be AI'd and had thought about synchronization. Has anybody out there synchrinized their Dexters? I heard you are supposed to cut the hormone dosage because they are smaller.

Thanks Genebo, The local AI guy says to use the normal dosage, but he doesn't have any experience with Dexters. I'm a wee bit leary... Donn

I sync'd 3 Heifers last year and they seemed to be fine. 1 didn't catch the first time & we got her on another regular heat cycle. The other two calved the first of this month. We just used the same as a normal sized cow.

I have done two with the normal dose also, so I think it is just fine. My cows are 650 to 750 lbs. and as a matter of fact I am pretty sure that my neighbour did her goats for AI with the same dose. Liz
