I thought I would get the word out that an excellent new book has just been published about Dexter Cattle. It's titled "Dexter Cattle, A Breeders Notebook" by Gabriella Nanci and Stefani Millman.
I just got my copy this weekend and it is a very nice book. It covers alot of good material with photos to illustrate points and is written by 2 breeders known for their excellent stock. It covers basics and more advanced topics and balances nicely between the two. Beginners won't be confused and experienced people won't be bored.
This would also be a nice reference to go along with your animals when you sell them.
It's on Amazon and Barnes & Noble.

Wow I am going to have to get it. Stefani is awesome! I had my Miss Ethel (or if you know her Stefani calls her "little short in round") bred by her Frederick last summer and Ethel's due date was today, nothing yet though. It is nice to know that someone local (here in Washington) is helping to put the word out there.

I've ordered my copy from Amazon UK and have posted a notice on the UK board to tell people it's available. I look forward to reading it.

Well my copy of "Dexter Cattle, A Breeders Notebook" by Gabriella Nanci and Stefani Millman has just arrived and it is really great. To me probably the most useful book and guide I've ever seen on the subject. I would highly recommend it to any breeder, especially new ones as it is so well thought out, clear and well illustrated.
Well done to Gabriella and Stefani. It will have been a huge amount of work that many people will enjoy. Hope you've printed enough copies!
