Hi, just had to share the news. My new bull arrived from Iowa last night (Thanks, Dan!!). I have been wanting to add a Spruce Grove Farm bull to my herd for many years and finally had the chance. He is my first red Dexter, so that's exciting, too. Here is SGF LCIN Tighe. He will be two in May. He has a quiet gentle disposition and is polled. He is quite small, about 36" at the hip, and is a non-carrier. He's still a mess from a long trailer ride in these pics, I will add some better ones after he's settled in and as he matures, as he's still just a youngster.

He looks great! Nice neck and color. I recognize that snout/nose. My SGF bull Rafferty has that sort of turned up nose too. One of Rafferty's heifers, Blue Lupine, got it too. It shows up in both their photos if you look up their pedigrees. He looks like a really great bull and I'm glad he's so gentle even after the ride. Congratulations! Thanks, Linda. I am quite impressed with his disposition. Before coming to me, he was at an AI facility being collected, then a long ride. He's been through a lot recently, but isn't adversly affected by it. He won't let me pet him yet, but comes up and sniffs at me and stands close to me. He's only been here a day, so I think that says a lot about him.
I'll take a closer look at the noses on you yours.

Congrats on purchasing Tighe. I bought 10 of his straws and just started using them. I used SGF LPFK Antares last year which produced a dun polled bull and a dun horned bull. And then a black horned bull from Tama Star Dancer. Yes, all bulls. I've sold one but still have the other two dun ones.
