I heard that there was only a glimpse of her. Yes, Skye is the little red cow. She's half Dexter and half Highland. Jeremy came down here, 600 miles, for her. Then he had to lead her in 4 miles. He lives in one of the most remote towns that you can drive to. He also got a half Dexter bull calf to breed to her this year. She's 20 months old. Thanks, Marsha

Oh wow, that is my whole family's favorite show. We don't really watch regular tv but discovered that one on amazon and got really hooked. My 5 year old talks about the Kilchers like he knows them, lol. I'll have to tell him their neighbor is a fellow Dexter owner! It's nice to know they're sweet in real life too. Of course my favorite episodes are the ones about cows. We'll have to watch for that new show to come out on netflix or amazon too.

We live in such a small world! The videographer for the Edge of Alaska show is Luke McKinney, a friend of my daughter, Claire Adams. He has done some really nice videos of Katy Guillen and The Girls, as well as, Claire and The Crowded Stage: Katy Guillen and The Girls music video done by Luke McKinney: vimeo.com/87156123Claire and The Crowded Stage music video done by Luke McKinney: www.youtube.com/watch?v=rI1ckMV-K_Q Patti

Marsha you may have the only Dexter in a TV series! It's so funny we were watching for her. When Jeremy came on, it showed he had goats also and chickens and ducks. I started to wonder how in the heck he got enough hay where he is at to feed them all through winter. The family certainly is remote and it seems like they enjoy it that way. I wonder if Skye will make other appearances?

I heard that the cinematography is beautiful on "Edge of Alaska". Skye has TV in her genes-her sire is the Highlander that was in the opening credits of Alaska the Last Frontier, the first two years! I'm looking forward to seeing even a glimpse of her, I have no idea how much Jeremy and his family will feature in the series. Marsha

Jeremy just called me, he'd heard that I was losing L.C. and offered if Skye (now Sweet Pea), has a heifer, he'd be happy for me to have her. I have a friend taping the show and haven't seen it yet. He said Sweet Pea was on last week's show. We may go up there next year on a road trip. Marsha

Marsha, I was a bit horrified to see in the last episode that he bought what looked like a Holstein bull calf to use on her. The calf was only days old but he is big. Did Jeremy mention anything about it? Skye looks tiny, so worried for her.

The bull calf is half Dexter, and half Holstein. The same cross, from the same dairy, that my neighbor is smaller than my calf. But, it could go either way. He's pretty animal savvy, but I will mention it to him. He's looking for a Highland bull. Marsha
