Hans, thinking.....
If I take the huge bulbous brisket off the cow, that fixes the short neck and the legs in the wrong place. Now she looks a lot more normal, just fat (look at the lump of fat at her tailhead. Is her brisket fat, or is it breastbone? That would be a telling difference.
I don't have a scanner, so will take some of my old photos into Staples and get them loaded onto a disc. I'd like to post a bunch showing cows that are hard to tell (you mentioned your cow was one of those you weren't sure of until you tested). cheers, c.

Carol, her brisket is very fat. For years we had difficulty keeping weight on her, but when we went to managed grazing a couple years ago she thrived on it.
We would love to see photos! You probably have enough to buy a scanner and set up a page with a description. Your years of experience and information is invaluable and would be a great thing to share with us newcomers!

Hi Hans. Go ahead, flatter me to death ;D I hope it's not the number of years, but what I did with them What keeps me from buying a scanner is figuring out the software so I can actually make effective use of it. Then, it's not the scanner software, it's the photoshop or other program I need to be able to crop, change sizes, isolate animals, and move stuff around that leaves me baffled and frustrated to the point where I say to xxxx with it. I'm not a hunt and peck sort of guy, and that process leaves me beyond impatient and out of control to the point where I just want to rip the whole thing to pieces--with a baseball bat. pant, pant,..... cheers, me.

I think, based on the hock curve, that Isaac is a carrier. Hard to tell, tho. Maybe I should use the glyph or I could end up wearing the glyph ;D cheers, c. C. We received our Chondro results back today...Issac is a Non-Carrier. ;DAttachments:
